SUN JUNE 22 2025-theGBJournal| Oil tankers have been seen fleeing the Strait of Hormuz following speculations that the Iranian authorities will shut down the Strait following the U.S strikes on Saturday on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
Close to 50 huge oil tankers have been sited scrambling out of the Strait as oil industry react to the speculated closure-said to happen in the coming days.
A UK-flagged tanker, Kohzan Maru was seen reversing course in the Strait, and sped south after the U.S strikes.
However, claims of the closure have not been verified but real-time ship movement in the region remains visible through public maritime tracking tools.
