THUR APRIL 30 2026-theGBJournal| Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has formally resigned from the Labour Party.
In his resignation letter dated 29th April 2026, seen by theG&BJournal, Baba-Ahmed said: “I write to respectfully put into effect my Gentle Resignation from the Labour party.
I am privileged and honored to have belonged and served as Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Elections, while the intricate dynamics of our evolving political parties frequently necessitate change of parties.”
He copied the National Chairman, the National Secretary as well as the party legal department.
His exit adds to the depletion of the party chances at 2027 General Election.
