Rural Electrification Agency’s Asset Management Company set to launch

TUE AUG 11 2026-theGBJournal| The Rural Electrification Agency (REA), in partnership with the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), has concluded plans for the official launch of the REA Asset Management Company (RAMCO), themed “Powering Sustainable Growth: Launching Nigeria’s Renewable Asset Management Company.”

The launch has been scheduled for Tuesday, 25th August 2026 at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, FCT.

According to REA, RAMCO is being established as the institutional platform for managing Nigeria’s renewable energy infrastructure assets, and this event will formally introduce the company to the public, the press and key Federal Government stakeholders.

”It will also demonstrate the joint commitment of REA and MOFI to the sustainability, governance and long-term stewardship of publicly funded renewable energy assets,” REA said today.

Recall that REA obtained approval to establish the asset management company in March 2025 following a the signing of a collaborative agreement between the agency and eight renewable energy service companies (RESCOs) in Abuja.

The Managing Director of the agency, Mr Abba Aliyu disclosed that the company will leverage on the assets to raise bout N1 trillion.
