ABUJA, SEPTEMBER 8, 2016 – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may not postpone Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, as earlier advised by security agencies, reports Channels TV.
The decision to go ahead with the election was taken Thursday morning after a meeting with stakeholders and consideration of the security report.
The commission will later in the day release a formal statement to confirm that the election will hold as scheduled.
