SUN NOV 01 2026-theGBJournal| Africa’s industrial future will depend on stronger partnerships and cross-border investments, Dangote Group has said, as it explores opportunities to expand its industrial footprint into Egypt.
The development follows a high-level visit to the Group by Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, accompanied by a delegation of senior government and industry officials. Details of the meeting were not disclosed.
President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, welcomed the engagement, describing it as a reflection of growing African integration and an opportunity to advance the Group’s Vision 2030 ambition of driving industrialisation across the continent.
Nigeria and Egypt, two of Africa’s major economies, have significant market potential, energy resources and industrial capabilities that could support increased investment and economic cooperation, the Group said.
It added that collaboration between both countries could unlock new investments, create jobs and strengthen Africa’s productive capacity.
The potential expansion into Egypt comes against the backdrop of Dangote Group’s broader ambition to build an integrated industrial presence across African markets, positioning cross-border partnerships and investments as important drivers of the continent’s industrial development.
