WED, MAR 27 2024-theGBJournal| Barr. Julius Abure has been returned as the National Chairman of Labour Party at the party’s National Convention today in Nnewi, Anambra State.
Before his re-election, Abure came under intense criticism by the the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) who pushed for the his resignation as party chairman The NLC alos canvased for stoppage of the Convention.
Recall that National Executive Council (NEC) of the party met in April 2023 in Asaba and granted the permission that the convention must hold in one year.
