THUR, NOV 23 2023-theGBJournal|Vice President Kashim Shettima today presided over the 137th edition of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Top agenda of the meeting is how to resolve economic challenges occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy, Ecological and security challenges in some parts of the country amongst other issues.
State Governors, finance and budget ministers, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as well as other co-opted top government officials are attending the meeting.
The NEC was established by the provisions of the Federal Constitution, 1999, as ammended; Section 153 (1) and Paragraphs 18 & 19 of Part 1 of the Third Schedule.
