An arched tunnel made of tens of thousands of LED light globes and animal-shaped lanterns are among creative displays at the 2016 edition of Vivid Sydney Festival.

The 70-meter long tunnel, dubbed the “Cathedral of Light,” stands at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden.

Large lanterns in the shape of animals, including a rhinoceros, an elephant and turtles are among items on display at the popular Taronga Zoo.

The Vivid Sydney is a 23-day festival of light, music and ideas that features illuminated installations and music in the Australian City.

It engages lighting artists, designers and manufacturers from around Australia and the world to illuminate, interpret, and transform Sydney’s urban spaces through their creative vision.
As one of Australia’s largest annual cultural celebrations, Vivid Sidney presents many of the world’s most important creative industry forums and public exhibition of outdoor lighting sculptures, installations and cutting-edge contemporary music events.

Vivid Sydney is where art, technology and commerce intersect.

It will hold between May 27 and June 18.
