First target date mutual funds-Cordros Milestone Funds listed on the NSE

SAT, FEBRUARY 23 2019-theG&BJournal-Cordros Capital yesterday listed its Cordros Milestone Funds 2023 and 2028 on the new Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Mutual Fund Trading Platform.

The firms Group Managing Director, Mr Wale Agbeyangi said during the listing on the Floor of The Exchange that the two Milestone Funds were created to help investors save towards predetermined time-based plans.

‘’The essence of the listing of the milestone funds is to deepen financial inclusion and increase access to investments for retail investors and further encourage a strong investment culture,’’ he said.

According to him, ‘’the listing of our Milestone Funds, strengthens our positioning as a wealth creation and investment management group, constantly creating wealth opportunities for our clients and partners.’’

Mr Oscar Onyema the CEO of the NSE, Mr Wale Agbeyangi the GMD of Cordros Capital, Mr. Dayo Obisan the President of the Fund Managers Association of Nigeria, Executives of Fund Managers Association of Nigeria, Representatives of SEC, CSCS and the Association of Stockbroking Houses of Nigeria were present during the listing

The launch of this new platform marks the beginning of a new era in Nigeria’s Mutual Fund industry as Mutual Funds can now be traded on the Floor of the Stock Exchange. This means that you can now buy and sell units of both funds (CMF 2023 and CMF 2028) on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Apart from being the first and only target date funds in Nigeria, Cordros Milestone Funds 2023 and 2028 are also the First Target Date Mutual Funds to be listed on the New NSE Trading Platform.
