FRI APRIL 24 2026-theGBJournal| The NNPC Limited has issued a strong public warning, debunking widespread claims that it is selling refinery scrap materials, equipment, or components to individuals and private entities.

In a formal notice released by Andy Odeh Chief Corporate Communications Officer, the Company categorically stated that no such sales process exists. It clarified that it has not issued any request for bids, tenders, expressions of interest, or approvals for the disposal of scrap metals or refinery assets from any of its facilities.

NNPC Limited further revealed that it has received credible reports of individuals impersonating its representatives or agents, falsely claiming to facilitate the sale of so-called refinery scrap and equipment.

The Company stressed that these actors are unauthorized and are deliberately attempting to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

Consequently, the Company has urged individuals, businesses, and industry stakeholders to disregard such claims and exercise heightened caution when approached with подобных offers.

For emphasis, NNPC Limited reiterated that it is neither conducting nor has it approved any sale of refinery scrap, equipment, or inventory. It noted that any legitimate asset disposal would follow a transparent, regulated process and be officially communicated through its verified channels.

The public is also encouraged to report any suspicious approaches or fraudulent activities to relevant law enforcement agencies.

NNPC Limited reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the prudent management of Nigeria’s critical energy assets.
