TUE JULY 29 2025-theGBJournal| Dangote Refinery has withdrawn the N100 billion lawsuits filed against the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Agency (NMDPRA), NNPC Limited and other fuel importers on 6 September 2024, at a Federal High Court in Abuja.

”Take notice that the plaintiff herein discontinues this suit against the defendants forthwith,” Dangote Refinery said in the notice signed by its legal representative, Ogwu James Onoja, SAN.

The refinery management provided no further reason/s for discontinuing the case in which it sought ”damages” and prayed that fuel import licences issued to the NNPC, fuel importers-AYM Shafa Ltd, A.A Rano Ltd, T. Time Petroleum Services Ltd, be nullified.

The suit is still scheduled to be heard on September 29, and it is not certain whether the defendants will equally chose to discontinue the case or seek costs before the case is formally terminated.
