MON 29 NOV, 2021-theGBJournal- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Monday inaugurated the newly completed multi-billion naira Delta State Secretariat Complex and the 8.5 Megawats Independent Power Project (IPP) in Asaba.
The brand new Secretariat complex, conceived and constructed by the Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa administration, contains total of 45,000 Square Meters Floor Space, housing, 27 Ministries, 9 Conference Halls and 5 Business Centers, a banking hall, restaurants, creche and a clinic that could serve as a mini-hospital.
For 30-years, the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in Delta State have operated from different locations. With today’s inauguration of the Obi Professor Chike Edozien Delta State Secretariat built by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration, a new era begins.
The new secretariat is internet enabled all through and it is powered along with other government offices, through an Independent Power Plant.
The Governor Okowa said the IPP will power all government offices, including the government house, to keep government activities un-interrupted.
“It will also enable us have the best of services and keep the workers comfortable.”
