MON, MAR 11 2024-theGBJournal| The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) announced Monday that they will embark on a 7-day warning strike, beginning March 18, 2024, to push for the release of their four months salaries.
Both unions took the decision after a joint meeting in Akure over the weekend.
SSANU President, Mohammed Ibrahim who presented the outcome of the meeting today in Abuja said, decision to embark on the warning strike was taken as a last resort following several unanswered protest letters and other communications with the Federal Government did result in the payment of their four months salaries which is withheld by government.
