WED, MAY 08 2019-theG&BJournal-Purposeful, young exciting and brilliant, words to sum up Ajax display today at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands against a very zombie-like Spurs side that suffered a 1-0 home defeat in the first leg at home.

Ajax dealt the early blow in the 4th minutes of play through their brilliant 19 year old captain De Ligt. Ajax completely dominated the first half.

But it was a tale of two halves. And it was a Lucas Moura’s hat trick that made the difference. He scored in the 55th, `59th and 95th minute of the second half to deny Ajax a dream final in Madrid, Spain.

Spurs found their rhythm in the second half and looked unstoppable. Ajax, just like Spurs in the first half were left ball watching, chasing to preserve their lead.

But it was another English job in the UEFA Champion League Semi-Finals.

Spurs will play Liverpool in the final after both English teams pulled off the biggest heist in football history.
