UBA introduces rigorous COVID-19 prevention measures in its banking halls

MON, MARCH 16 2020-theG&BJournal- ‘’We at UBA, are deeply concerned and want to do all we can to help keep our countries and our families safe and healthy,’’ Kennedy Uzoka GMD/CEO has said, while outlining new rigorous COVID-19 prevention measures in UBA’s banking halls and throughout its business offices.
Among the measures he announced is the introduction of rigorous additional cleaning procedures, increasing the number of wipes, hand sanitisers, and other materials available in the banking halls and throughout the bank’s business offices.
He said the bank have ensured that customers have access to the products and services they want at all times as well as making it easier to find UBA products and services quickly and in real-time, 24/7. Measures to help protect staff from possible exposure to COVID-19 by reducing the number of face – to – face meetings that is organised, has also been put in place.
‘’With the use of technology, this has been made simple and even more effective,’’ Uzoka said adding that the bank will continue to monitor the situation in order to constantly adapt to customers needs should things change.
Uzoka noted that the bank from the onset of this situation, have been listening to the appropriate sources for accurate and up-to-date information, and the bank’s plan reflects those inputs.
‘’As things evolve we are actively monitoring the crisis and assessing the risks. We are ready to implement immediate changes to ensure a high level of safety. We will continue to communicate with you as may be necessary and promptly on a variety of significant developments.’’
