WED MAR 11 2026-theGBJournal| The United States Mission in Nigeria has issued a security alert warning its citizens of a possible terrorist threat targeting U.S. government facilities and American-affiliated schools across the country.
The Embassy recommends that U.S. citizens take additional precautions when traveling to the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, and U.S. affiliated schools, to include varying times and routes.
The advisory urged U.S. nationals to remain vigilant and exercise heightened security awareness amid rising geopolitical tensions.
The alert reflects growing concerns that global geopolitical developments could trigger demonstrations or security incidents affecting foreign missions and affiliated institutions in the country.
