FRI, JUNE 07 2019-theG&BJournal-Chief Sena Anthony and Mr. Oghogho Akpata, both Non-Executive Directors in the troubled oil firm, Oando have quit their positions with effect from June 3.
Notice of their resignations was made known yesterday to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), its shareholders, key stakeholders and the public.
Specific reasons for their resignation were not given but source say it is an outcome of the investigation into numerous corporate governance infractions by some board members.
Their resignation comes just days after Oando’s Group CEO and Deputy CEO were banned by Security and Exchange Commission from being directors of any public company for a period of five years.
