TUE OCT 15 2024-theGBJournal| Described as a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s digital journey, top government officials, innovators and technology leaders highlighted the nation’s rapidly evolving tech ecosystem Tuesday, and underscored Nigeria’s role as a major player in Africa’s digital future.
Key among them was Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of NITDA Nigeria, who passionately remarked, “Today is one of the most exhilarating moments in our journey toward a digital Nigeria.
Imagine a nation where innovative ideas are valued and rewarded, where people have access to the latest technology and services, where businesses can hire young, creative, and competent workers, and where entrepreneurs can prosper.”
Distinguished speakers included Pallasena V Viswanath, CEO, Redington Middle East and Africa, Nnenna Irebisi, Government Lead, AWS Cloud Security User Group West Africa, Mr. Todosun Alake, Hon. The discussions emphasized Nigeria’s growing importance in Africa’s tech landscape, with a focus on creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and tech enthusiasts.
The country’s push for digital innovation, backed by government support and private sector investment, is paving the way for a prosperous tech future in West Africa.

Inuwa Abdullahi also met with Startup Genome’s global leadership, including President Ravi Narayan, Managing Director Samantha Evans of Hypergrowth, and Chief Program Officer Mike Jackson.
The meeting aimed to explore partnerships that will unleash the untapped potential of Nigeria’s tech ecosystem.
