THUR AUG 21 2025-theGBJournal| Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has again visited the site of the ongoing construction and installation of equipment for the Bayelsa State Gas Turbines project located at Elebele community in Ogbia Local Government Area.
The Governor who was conducted round the recently installed switch gears by the Managing Director of the State Electricity Company, Engr. Olice Kemenanabo, expressed satisfaction with the progress of civil work preparatory to the arrival of the turbines.
Senator Diri assured the people of his administration’s commitment to deliver this project and usher in a new era of 24 hours electricity supply in the state.
Recall that the State Government, in January 2025, approved the purchase of a 60-megawatt gas turbines, an initiative geared towards giving 100% electricity power supply to the people of Bayelsa State.
