WED 19 JAN, 2022-theGBJournal- Nigeria beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0 to become the only country to win all there group games at the on-going Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, scoring six goals and conceding just a single goal.

Team Coach, Augustine Eguavoen made eight changes to the side that defeated Sudan to seal their place in the last-16 place.

Lanky striker Sadiq Umar scored Nigeria’s opener shortly after the half time break following a deep low cross from strike partner Kelechi Iheanacho.

Team captain William Trost-Ekong added the second from a tap into an empty net after winger Moses Simon exploited the Guinea-Bissau’s defensive lapse.

Nigeria dominated play with 16 shots on target and 53% ball possession and William Trost-Ekong was named Man of the Match.
