MON, APRIL 15 2019-theG&BJournal- Movie goers in London prestigious ODEON theatre left ‘’thoroughly satisfied’’ and thrilled after watching the heart-pumping performance by Nollywood star, Stella Damasus (Chelsea Hollis), in her latest movie, ”BETWEEN” over the weekend.
The film is Feminist and explicit about love. The story is gripping and the performance by the characters deeply engaging too. Set in Atlanta Georgia, USA, Stella gave a performance like most iconic Hollywood goddesses would.
A story about a hardline Feminist whose views about love changed, if not permanently, after a chance encounter with an enigmatic and charming Scot Hamilton (Travis Grenier). Watching ”BETWEEN”, we pondered who this lady is. Her life and lifestyle is full of contradictions we might say-Only in her 30s she suffered four disastrous marriages, lives sketchy life, prominent as a responsible white-collared executive by day and by night she is a clandestine hustler. But she found love again.
Stella, a highly decorated Nollywood star, won the Best Actress AWARD at the Golden Icons Academy Awards in Houston, Texas for the movie, Two Brides and a Baby. 1n 2009, she was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards.
”BETWEEN” is a film by the revered and multi-talented film maker/producer Daniel Ademinokan and premiered at the GlennFest Film Festival in 2018 in Downey, California.
