WED, OCT 24 2018-theG&BJournal-Three stunning goals in 15 minutes got Rangers International of Enugu back on Level terms (3-3) against Kano Pillars in the 2018 AITEO FA CUP final. Rangers secured the 4-2 win after penalty shootout.
Midfielder Itoya began the come-back fight with a classy 35 yards strike that left the Kano Pillars goalkeeper sprawling and dazed. Striker C. Eze quickly followed with another after the Kano Pillars defence blundered. The now nervous and panicky Pillars players were dealt the knockout blow with a low flying header by substitute Ajani Ibrahim to equalize the game after trailing for a long time.
The fans went wild in the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba when Rangers captain lifted the cup. Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr was on hand to watch the teams thrill the fans with some classy foot works.
Rangers lifted the cup and a fee of N25 million while Pillars earned N1O million as runners-up.
