SAT JAN 03 2026-theGBJournal| U.S. President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has been ”captured and flown out of the country,” after huge explosions induced by U.S. airstrikes rocked the Venezuelan capital today.

”The United States of America has successfully carried out large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader,” Trump said.

Trump said this operation was dome in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement.

”Details to follow. There will be news conference today at 11 A.M., at Mr-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Venezuela authorities has not confirmed Maduro’s capture or whereabouts.

The Venezuelan foreign minister at the UN has condemned the attack as ”a flagrant volition of UN CHARTER,” and a threat to international peace and stability.

Iran, Cuba has also condemned the strikes while the Mexican embassy in Venezuela has urged calm this morning amid the multiple explosions in the South American country.

Reports say the Federal Aviation Administration has prohibited flights over Venezuela due to what they describe as ”potentially hazardous situation.”

All commercial flights into the country has also been cancelled.

Recall that Trump, last month said it would be smart for Maduro to step down and said he would not rule out war with Venezuela.
