President Tinubu taps former Finance Minister, Mansur Muhtar to chair to Board of the Bank of Industry

TUE SEPT 03 2024-theGBJournal| President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 13 seasoned Board room players to sit on the board of the Bank of Industry Limited (BOI).

Economist and Former Finance Minister in the late President Umar Yar-Adua’s administration, Dr. Mansur Muhtar has been tapped to chair the board.

The President also approved the appointment of Olasupo Olusi as new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Nigeria’s oldest development financing institution.

The other members of the Board and Management team include:
Mrs. Ifeoma Uz’Okpala-Executive Director, Large Enterprises
Mr. Shekarau Omar-Executive Director, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Mr. Usen Effiong-Executive Director, Corporate Services, Ms. Mabel Ndagi-Executive Director, Public Sector & Intervention Programmes, Mr. Rotimi Akinde — Executive Director, Corporate Finance & Risk Management and Mallam Tajudeen Datti Ahmed — Non-Executive Director, representing the Ministry of Finance Incorporated

Adedamola Olufemi Young will serve as Non-Executive Director, representing Central Bank of Nigeria.

Similarly, Reverend Isaac Adefemi Agoye, Mallam Muhammad Bala, will sit on the board as Non-Executive, representing Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment respectively.

Both Oreoluwa Adeyemi and Mr. Sulaiman Musa Kadira are to serve as Independent Non-Executive Directors.

The President expects the new board of the Bank of Industry to work harmoniously, diligently, and with utmost fidelity to the nation in driving the mandate of this critical institution as a development vehicle for providing support for projects that enhance job creation, poverty alleviation, and the socio-economic conditions of Nigerian families.
