TUE, AUGUST 01 2023-theGBJournal |President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Monday announced Ajuri Obari Ngelale has been appointed as his official spokesperson and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
”The appointment takes effect from 31st July, 2023 and will terminate at the end of this administration unless otherwise decided by the President,” the Presidency said in a statement.
Ajuri will step into the role with much experience having served as Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former Preident Muhammadu Buhari.
”I am most humbled and honoured by H.E President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recognition of the need for more hard work ahead as I have been appointed as his Official Spokesperson and Special Adviser…” Ajuri wrote on his twitter handle late Monday night, adding ”I will give Nigeria my best as always. I love you all.”
Born November 1985, Ajuri had his secondary education at Government Secondary School in Port Harcourt before proceeding to the University of Kansas, where he bagged a degree in Political Science.
An accomplished investigative journalist, Ajuri worked as reporter for the African Independent Television (AIT) News where he made his mark for his report ”Eagle Eye”
He also worked as Lead Consultant, Public Affairs at the Federal Ministry of Power.
Subsequently, the River State born eloquent reporter/speaker spent some years of reporting career with Channels TV, where he started working as a TV Presenter, producer and Senior news correspondent.
Ajuri has also authored two books-Struggle for Nigeria’s Soul and Buhari: From General to President.
