First, he forced out over N17 billion. But he wants more deleted. Close sources say another N15 billion remains attached and federal  government officials,  when presenting the N6.8 trillion 2016 budget to the National Assembly last week admitted there were still inconsistencies in the ’imperfect’ budget. President Muhammadu Buhari would have none of that.

This time he wants explanations as to why the budget he read out to Nigerians turned out to be a script from the scoundrels. Besides, none of his aides is giving him full script of the budget debated at the National Assembly only highlights.

The budget crisis began in January when it went missing from the National Assembly. No explanations were given.

Many analysts suspects whistleblowers in the cabinet are insisting some questionable inclusions in the document must be scrapped but they are at war with party members and individuals who are manifestation of Nigeria’s underdevelopment.

“The President is now a victim of the corruption he is fighting,” one top CEO told G&BJournal. “And all of that is unfolding to him through the controversial budget.”

In February, the National Assembly refused to pass the budget. Senator Danjuma Goje, chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation and his House of Reps counterpart, Jibrin Abdulmumin revealed it was error stricken to a shocked nation.

There is no official explanation from the presidency as to when and why the president is not signing the document into law and many analysts are sceptical it will be as perfect as the President wants it when it even eventually gets his approval.
