TUE, 21 JUNE, 2022-theGBJournal| President Muhammadu Buhari has sent to the Nigerian Senate names to be considered as replacement for federal ministers who resigned from his cabinet recently to pursue their various political interests and ambition.
The names were read out today at the Senate Plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan who received the president’s letter that includes the names of the possible replacements.
The nominees, seven in all, are Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh from Abia State, Umana Okon Umana from Akwa Ibom State, Egwumakama Joseph Nkama from Ebonyi State, Goodluck Nnana Opia from Imoh State and Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub from Kano State.
Others are Ademola Adewole Adegoroye from Ondo State and Odum Odih from Rivers State.
The President prayed for what he calls the ‘’usual expeditious consideration and confirmation of the nominees by the Senate.’’
