MON, JUN 15 2020-theG&BJournal-The appointment of Dr Nnaemeka Eweluka as the substantive Managing Director/CEO of Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company (NBET) has been given the Presidential blessing following his recommendation to the position by the Minister of Power, Engineer Sale Mamman.
President Muhammadu Buhari approved the recommendation today clearing the way for Eweluka who was until his appointment, the company’s General Counsel and Secretary.
Eweluka will succeed Dr Marilyn Amobi-now ex-MD/CEO- who will hand over and proceed on terminal leave with ‘’immediate effect.’’ President Buhari had earlier approved the recommendation to this effect.
Dr Eweluka is described as a specialist on privatization and legal energy reforms as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration with over twenty years experience in private practice, academics and the power sector as a lawyer.
