THUR, AUG 20 2020-theG&BJournal– President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi as Special Assistant on Sports.
His appointment dated August 17 was signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha but took effect from August 11 2020.
Amokachi was capped severally for Nigeria and played a vital role for Nigeria in the glorious World Cup campaign in 1994 and subsequently in 1998. He also served as the Assistant Manager of the Super Eagles.
The 47 year technical director was third place three times as African Footballer of the Year.
