SAT, MAY 30 2020-theG&BJournal- President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), after the expiration of the term of the current board members who were appointed in 2016.
Members of the new Board includes the frontline APC chieftain in River State Senator Magnus Abe (South South), Mohammed Lawal (North West), Tajudeen Umar (North East) Adamu Mahmood Attah (North Central) Dr Stephen Dike (South East) and Chief Pius Akinyelure ( South West).
The new Board will be in place for the next three years.
Appointment comes as the corporation announced the death of its former Group managing director, Dr Maikanti Kacalla Baru, who died aged 60, Friday night in an Abuja hospital. Baru was the 18th Group Managing Director of NNPC.
