WED. 30 NOV, 2022-theGBJournal| Portuguese international footballing legend, Cristiano Ronald is reported to have signed a deal worth close to $179 million-per-year with Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian football club.
Both sides have agreed to a two-and-half contract that will see him play until until 2025 at age 40, according to Marca, a Spanish newsppaper.
The contract worth places Ronald way ahead his sporting pears, leap-frogging long-time rival Lionel Messi’s $130 million and overtaking Lebron James’s $121.2 million from a previous third spot, according Forbes ranking.
It not clear the value of expected endorsements that will follow, what is clear is that the deal has been agreed after the Saudi side approached him to join the club.
Ronaldo, currently representing his country at the current World Cup in Qatar, recently ditched Manchester United after he fell out with the Manager, Erik ten Hag.
