WED MAR 18 2026-theGBJournal| President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have commenced a high-profile State Visit to United Kingdom, receiving a ceremonial red carpet welcome from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The visit signals a renewed push to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Nigeria and Britain, with both nations expected to engage in strategic discussions on trade, security, and investment cooperation.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu on Wednesday with a blaze of ceremonial grandeur, vibrant colours, mounted cavalry, horse-drawn carts, a fanfare of trumpets, and a gun salute.
Earlier, Prince William and Princess Catherine met and greeted the Nigerian leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu at Fairmont Hotel before the short ride to Windsor Castle, where their host, King Charles III, awaits them.
