TUE, JAN 30 2024-theGBJournal| Alfred Temile 10, a 23,000 cubic metres ultramodern Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Carrier owned by Nigerian firm Temile Development Company has been commissioned in Ulsan, South Korea.
Temile Development Company, a marine off-shore company signed an agreement with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and NLNG Shipping Management Limited (NSML), an integrated maritime services and subsidiary of Nigeria LNG, for the construction and supervision of the 23,000 cubic metres vessel in May 2022.
The GCEO of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari, who attended the commissioning ceremony of the vessel in Ulsan, South Korea, described it as a project that aligns with Nigeria’s drive to ensure cleaner energy for all.
The commissioning of Alfred Temile 10 signifies a crucial step in deepening the utilisation of gas in-country and growing gas revenues.
The vessel is equipped to transport liquefied petroleum gas efficiently, which will contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s domestic gas industry.
