SUN JAN 05 2025-theGBJournal| A petrol tanker laden with about 30,000 litres of petrol tumbled and exploded into flames while descending into Agbor, Ika South Local Giovernment Area (LGA), in Delta State Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred near Baleke market, one of the biggest and most visited market in the LGA. Persons who witnessed the accident occure say they suspect the tanker had a failed brake
One person has been confirmed dead while a church, 2 banks building and a school nearby were razed to the ground.
As the time of filing the report, fire service were no were to be found, and many residents were seen trying to douse the expanding flame with buckets of water.
