The company said it ran a pilot in South Africa over the past six months and worked very closely with incredible developers and business owners.

According to Paystack, out of the box, South African businesses and developers automatically get easy, super-fast onboarding with no tedious paperwork, well-documented APIs, plugins and integrations with ecommerce platforms and responsive, empathetic support.
Paysack was recently acquired by a US-based company, Stripe, for $200 million. The company currently has over 60,000 customers and boasts of 50% of all online payments in Nigeria.
Shola Akinlade, Paystack CEO reckons that South Africa is one of the continent’s most important markets, and the launch in the country is a significant milestone in their mission to accelerate commerce across Africa.
