Oyo-Ita, Atiku, Dogara , 40 others bag national women’s award

ABUJA, JUNE 26, 2018 – The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, Mrs Titi Atiku, Mrs Gimbia Dogara, Mr Joe Bankole, Special Adviser on Multimedia, News Agency of Nigeria and 40 others have received National Women Leadership award.

The award was presented to them at the National Women Leadership Awards organised by Project Blessing Nigeria (PBN) on Monday in Abuja.

Pastor Ellis Effa, who presented the award to the recipients, said that the honour should spur them to do more.

“Let this award spur you to do more and open more doors for you to continue to bless humanity,” she said.

Oyo-Ita, who was represented by Mrs Omolara Idowu, Director, Performance Management, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation( OHCSF), said that the award would encourage her to do more for humanity.

She thanked Project Blessing Nigeria for recognising and honouring her.

Bankole, who spoke on behalf of the awardees, thanked PBN for the honour and wished them well in their endeavour.

“I will continue to be a part of this organisation.

“I want to urge people who have been a blessing to continue in their good deeds and ensure the world is a better place,” he said.

Other awardees are Mrs Opuaya Agha, Founder When Women Pray, Reuben Okala, Presenter Nigeria Television Authority, Mrs Gloria Enoka, among others.

Mr Leo Udeme, Provost, PBN, said that the PBN is a Non-Governmental Organisation, established in 2017 to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged in the society.

Udeme said that the awardees were selected based on their contributions and how they have helped the poor in the society.

He said that most of the awardees had constructed boreholes, given out free medical care and granted scholarships to the poor in the country.
