THUR JAN 30 2025-theGBJournal| The Petroleum Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) have signed a deal with Dangote Refinery for the distribution of petroleum products across the country.

PETROAN President, Billy Gillis-Harry confirmed the development, saying that the deal will see PETROAN begin distribution of petrol nationwide. He added that the deal will hopefully, end the price disparity seen across petrol outlets around the country.

Gillis-Harry described the agreement as a show of love from Dangote Refinery.

Meanwhile, new report by Bloomberg said that petrol imports has plunged to an eight-year low driven by the entrance of Dangote Refinery into the market.

The Bloomberg report said shipments into Nigeria stood at 110,000 barrels-a-day during January 1-24-data compiled by Bloomberg from analytics firm Vortexa Ltd.

Bloomberg reckon that if the trend continues for the rest of the month, Nigeria’s import, most of which come from Europe, would hit their lowest level since 2017.
