Nigerian Economic Summit Group inaugurates Sports Industry Working Group

THUR, FEB 20 2020-theG&BJournal- The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) Thursday inaugurated a new think-tank body within the group, the Sports Industry Working Group (SIWG).
Nigerian Minister of Youths and Sports Sunday Dare, who inaugurated the group’s steering committee members, said that the SIWG is a public-private dialogue that has harnessed the work of NESG to drive growth of the sports industry.
The Co-Chair of the new group, Mr Udeme Ufot in his address said that the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit identified the Sports industry as an alternative revenue source for Nigeria and that today was a milestone for public, private and social enterprise partnership.
‘’The mandate of the of the Sports Industry Working Group is to transform Nigeria’s Sports industry,’’ Udeme said.
He added that members of the SIWG believe they will be able to fast track the development of Nigeria’s Sports industry.
