The event is scheduled to run from the 9th to 13th October, 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Nigerian officials, aligning with country’s pro-business stance, are poised to unveil a series of key announcements with the country’s agenda set to include:
-$55.2 billion of investments projected from operators in Nigeria by 2030.
-$13.5 billion is expected to be invested within the next 12 months alone.
-Boost oil production to 2.1 million barrels per day by December 2024.-Expand midstream and downstream infrastructure.
-Establish resilient and cost-effective energy systems.
They will be joined by a growing list of Nigerian companies and delegates, including NNPC, Seplat Energy, Oando Plc, Aradel Holding Plc, ND Western, Green Energy International, LEKOIL, Olaniwun Ajayi, and representatives of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
With Nigeria remaining Africa’s biggest economy and energy market, and the sector in the middle of a complete overhaul after the passing of landmark reforms, there is tremendous investment potential in oil production and refining, gas pipelines, gas distribution, and power infrastructure.
Under the theme “Maximising Africa’s Natural Resources”, Africa Oil Week brings government representatives, energy policymakers, financiers, and dealmakers together to create a sustainable roadmap for the responsible development of its natural resources, positioning the continent as a stable destination for global investment.
