MON. 27 FEB, 2023-theGBJournal| The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party Monday raced ahead its main challengers in the Presidential Election conducted on the 25th February, 2023, after results from four states were released by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
Results from the four States released as at 5.00pm Monday shows that the APC was way ahead in total numbers with 1, 211, 241 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored a total of 641,784 in the four States while the Labour Party Nigeria (LP) scored 218,511 votes in total.
The APC won in Ogun State with 341, 554 votes, scored 449, 884 in Oyo, recorded 151,459 votes in Yobe State, took a total of 263,572 in Kwara a scored a lowly 4772 in Enugu state to bring its total tally from the five states to 1, 211, 241.
The PDP took a total of 657, 533 votes from the five States after a win in Yobe where it gathered 198,567 votes. It scored 182,977 votes in Oyo State, 123,331 in Ogun State, 15, 749 in Enugu State and 136, 909 in Kwara State.
The LP trails the APC and the PDP with a total tally of 647,151 but secured a landslide victory in Enugu where it won with a total vote of 428,640. The party scored 31, 166 in Kwara, 85, 829 in Ogun State, 99, 110 in Oyo State and a lowly 2,406 in Yobe State.
