Nigeria Rural Electrification Agency to highlight ‘Climate Friendly Solutions to Energy Poverty’ on the sidelines of COP27

MON, 07 NOV, 2022-theGBJournal| The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) will be hosting a knowledge-driven side event themed “Climate Friendly Solutions to Energy Poverty in Nigeria” on Tuesday the 8th of November from 10.30AM – 11.30AM at the Nigeria Pavilion, COP27 in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.

The event, which holds on the sidelines of the ongoing UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt will be hosted by the Minister for State, Power, Goddy Jedy-Agba and the REA team.

The event panelists include Dr. Sanusi Ohiare, the Executive Director, Rural Electrification Fund at the REA, Engr. Barka Sajou, the Executive Director, Technical Services at the REA, Barbara Izilein, Lead, Solar Power Naija (SPN) Programme and Chinua Azubuike, MD, InfraCredit.

The COP27 begins today in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, where world leaders will be challenged to finally make the decisions urgently necessary to protect this and future generations from climate change induced crisis.
