Niger State Governor Umaru Bago holds talks with Central Securities Clearing Systems to digitalize government operations

FRI JAN 31 2025-theGBJournal| Niger State Government has been presented with a proposal of an electronic document management system by the Central Securities Clearing Systems (CSCS) at the Niger State Governor’s Lodge Abuja.

The proposed electronic document management system is strategically to digitalize all government activities and work place for governance, improve security and enhance, digital framework.

Niger State Governor Farmer Governor Umaru Bago described the concept as a welcome idea saying, the value addition of electronic document management system is developmental.

He said the idea is coming at a time his administration is trying to move from manual filing system to electronic and swift system to promote ease of doing business, governance, and for transparency and accountability.

Farmer Umaru Bago then set up a Sub-Committee to be headed by the Secretary to the State Government Abubakar Usman to interact with the Group and submit a report within two weeks with a view to signing a contract with the Group.

The Executive Director, Central Securities Clearing System Adeyinka Shonekan said the electronic document system proposal is in line with the development plans that farmer Umaru Bago has for Niger State adding that the concept will ensure security, rapid growth, youth empowerment and economic development.
