TUE, 27 SEPT, 2022-theGBJournal| After a 0.4% gain Monday, the domestic bourse ended lower today as the benchmark index lost 0.11% to close at 49,163.81 points.
Investors interest in ZENITHBANK (+1.00%) was offset by selloffs in GTCO (-0.53%), FBNH (-0.99%), ACCESSCORP (-4.55%) and UBA (-1.39%) putting the market in the red. As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return fell to 15.09%, as market capitalization shed N29.42bn to close at N26.52trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions increasing by 87.77%. A total of 139.24m shares valued at N1.60bn were exchanged in 3,421 deals.
