THUR, DEC 14 2023-theGBJournal|The domestic bourse maintained the bull run bringing the benchmark index up by 0.22% to close at 72,455.83 points.
Buying interest in DANGSUGAR (+0.61%), ZENITHBANK (+1.92%) and UBA (+2.50%) offset losses in ETI (-0.44%), NB (-1.75%) and INTBREW (-1.11%). Accordingly, the market remains on track for another week of gain.
As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 41.37%, while the market capitalization gained N85.39bn to close at N39.65 trillion.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions down by 10.16%.
A total of 446.58m shares valued at N7.26 billion were exchanged in 6,845 deals. ACCESSCORP (+3.40%) led both the volume and value chart with 77.25m units traded in deals worth N1.76 billion.
Market breadth closed positive at a 1.04-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering the declining ones.
INFINITY (+9.83%) topped twenty-five others on the leader’s table while RTBRISCOE (-9.84%) led twenty-four others on the laggard’s log.
