THUR MAY 08 2025-theGBJournal| The stage is set for a thrilling encounter as Inter Milan battle Paris Saint-Germain at the 66, 000 capacity Munich Football arena on Saturday 31 May, 2025 for the final of 2025 UEFA Champions League big price.

Paris booked their place with a 2-1 finish against Arsenal on Wednesday on home soil following another fine display by the Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, and an outstanding performance by Achraf Hakimi.

Goals from Hakimi and Fabian Ruiz sealed the deal for Paris despite a late comeback fight by Arsenal after Bukayo Saka’s goal in the 76th minute of play.

It was a night of drama. Arsenal delivered a world-class display, showing plenty of intent to claw back and cleanse their 0-1 home defeat. But Paris was even more stunning with their blistering speed.

While Arsenal operated from a more advanced midfield position with penetrating runs by Thomas Partey and Declan rice, but Paris carried plenty of attacking threat.

Surprisingly, Arsenal struggled to assert themselves in the second half, only coming close in the 64th minute when Bukayo curling effort was finger-tipped off the bar by Donnarumma to leave Arsenal empty-handed again at the close of another football season.

Earlier on Tuesday, experienced Inter Milan dispatched the much fancied, youthful Barcelona in a thrilling 4-3 second-leg triumph with a perfect defence-based display over 120 minutes and extra time.

37-year old Inter centre back, Francesco Acerbi scored the 93rd-minute equalizer that took the game into extra time, before Davide Frattesi’s strike decided the encounter.

Inter’s starting line-up featured just one player aged 25 or under but they showed incredible belief in what they do.

If they replicate the resilience in Munich, they will lift the trophy against all odds and against a Paris that no one gave a chance or took a bet at the start of the season.
