Mimiko hands-over state files to incoming gov Akeredolu

ONDO, FEBRUARY 23, 2017 – The out-going Governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko has handed-over state files to the in-coming Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The hand-over ceremony was held on Thursday in Akure the state’s capital amidst tight security. Meanwhile, Akeredolu is expected to be sworn-in as the new Governor of the state on Friday (Tomorrow).

Peaceful transition in Ondo as Mimiko hands-over to Akeredolu Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, contested and won the governorship election held in the state under the All Progressives Congress party, APC.

He beat his biggest contender, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, who ran under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Jegede, before the election, battled for his ticket at the courts where the courts had earlier on ruled that the business mogul, Jimoh Ibrahim was the flag-bearer for the party.
