FRI MAY 10 2024-theGBJournal| School children at Wuse Lightway Academy in Abuja welcomed the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Nigeria Friday, as they kick off a three-day visit on the invitation of the Defence Headquarters, Nigeria.
The Sussexes were treated to delightful cultural displays at the school, which receives support from their Archewell foundation, while children also tried to take a picture with Meghan.
The royal couple spoke about mental health at the school and encouraged students to be supportive of each other.
They are billed to have engagement with senior army personals at the Nigerian Defence Headquarters, covering issues including invitation to the Invictus Game, a multi sport event for wounded, injured and sick service men and women, co-founded by Prince Harry.
The royals are scheduled also to meet wounded soldiers and their families to bolster morale of soldiers, including those at the front end of the war against terrorist groups in the country.
