TUE, 19 JULY, 2022-theGBJournal| Activity on the domestic bourse was mixed as the All-Share Index closed 0.02% weaker to close at 52,308.88 points, today.
Sustained investor interest in GTCO (+0.47%), FBNH (+1.82%) and UBA (+0.67%) was eroded by losses in MTNN (-0.43%) and ACCESSCORP (-1.08%). Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return fell to 22.46%, while the market capitalization shed a meagre N5.96bn to close at N28.21trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions declining by 19.57%. A total of 205.64m units of shares valued at N2.79bn were exchanged in 4,127 deals. UBA (+0.67%), led the volume chart with 74.28m units traded, while MTNN (-0.43%) led the value chart in deals worth N876.34m.
Market breadth closed flat at a 1-to-1 ratio with declining issues equalling advancing ones. RTBRISCOE (+10.00%) topped fifteen (15) others on the gainer’s log, while MULTIVERSE (-9.50%) led fifteen (15) others on the laggard’s table.
