SUN, MARCH 08 2020-theG&BJournal- ‘Manchester United beat their ‘noisy’ neighbours Manchester City 2-0 in a pouring rain at Old Trafford, the first time Manchester United have beaten City three times in a season since 2009-10 season.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer played a packed defensive formation which forced City into disarray going forward.
Anthony Martial’s volley from close range gave Man United the lead in the first half played at a very fast and frenetic pace. Another howler by United’s goalkeeper Ederson gifted Scott McTominay the second United goal to seal the win.
Man United are now unbeaten in five Premier League games and go fifth, and three points behind Chelsea.
