The Nasarawa State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr Labaran Maku, has called on Nigerians to leave in peace with one another irrespective of their differences.

Maku, who made the call on Tuesday at a newsmen conference in Wakama Village of Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area, said so many lives had been lost in the country due to crises.

The former Minister of Information, said that with the crises already witnessed in some parts of the country and the state, there was need to seek God’s intervention to avert further loss of lives and property.

Maku said he accepted the Supreme Court judgment of Jan. 20 which upheld the victory of Gov. Umaru Al-Makura, adding that justice was for God and not man.

“I have accepted the judgment of the apex court and I leave justice for God Almighty to handle because Supreme Court is the highest arbiter in Nigeria,’’ he said. He expressed gratitude to the entire people of the state for massively voting for APGA in the 2015 general elections even though he joined the party barely two months to the general election.

Maku also called on his supporters and members of the public to continue to be law abiding and not to be discourage by what was happening as it was a temporary setback. He said he would remain in the party to build its structure in preparation for future elections in the state.

He noted that APGA as the main opposition party in the state, would continue to offer credible and constructive criticism to contribute to the development of the state. The News Agency of Nigeria
